So you're interested in joining!  Great!!!  The next step is to come visit us!!!!

 

Don't Just Sit There!  Come to a Rehearsal !!

Come to a rehearsal and come to sing!!!  Guests are always welcome at our rehearsals. We rehearse every Monday night from 7:00-9:30.

We rehearse at:

Marion, IN

Take 26th Street west off the bypass(St. Rd 9 & 15).  W. 26th Street runs along the cemetery and the old Home Depot building.

 

Please contact us to let us know you're coming.  Occasionally we may have a performance or are out of town at a coaching session on a Monday, so be sure to contact us thru this web page or call 765-677-SING so we don't miss you.

 

On your first visit, our Director or Assistant Director will listen to your voice range and put you in a voice part.  She will surround you with chorus members who sing your part and who can help you through your first few rehearsals.  While you are singing with us for the next 3 or 4 weeks, you will be learning music right along with the rest of the chorus.  At the end of your 4th or 5th week, it will be time to audition.

 

Audition

We are an auditioned chorus and everyone auditions.  It's very basic and nothing to be nervous about!!  While you are rehearsing with us each week, you are learning a song or two.  You choose which song you feel you know best and you can either sing it with a quartet in private with the director or you can record yourself singing with the chorus and turn that in to the director.  We want to make sure you have all the help you need to prepare and you may choose to have a practice audition prior to the official audition.

 

All during the time you are visiting us and preparing to join, you will be given information from our Membership Coordinator.    She will be able to answer any questions you may have during the process including costumes, dues etc.  Once you are a member, you will be assigned to our "Rookie Mama" for your first year who will guide you through the chorus year.

 

We are excited that you are interested in joining the chorus!  This is a hobby that is like no other and one in which you will not only have fun, but will learn and grow as an individual performer.   How neat is that?!!!!
